Rules and Regulations

Please read the following rules and regulations of CRRG, before applying for membership this information will give you a good indication of what the Group is about and how it operates.  You will be required to sign a copy before participating in any event or activity.

 

Club Purpose

 

Carolina Recreation Riding Group’s (CRRG) purpose is to provide horse riding activities for all riders, regardless of discipline over the age of 18.  CRRG is designed not to be competitive but to allow riders of all abilities to experience different activities in a fun learning environment for all to enjoy.

 

Membership

 

Any person over 18 without regard to race, sex, color, nationality, religion, or disability shall be entitled to membership.

 

$40 a year, from 1 January to 31 December, membership dues will be $40 regardless of month of joining.  Membership dues are non-refundable.

Members must be over 18, complete application form, medical information form, and waiver release as well as sign a copy of rule sheet each year.  Membership is not guaranteed all membership applications will be carefully considered with club member’s guidelines before being accepted.

 

Member’s responsibilities

 

Members who participate in activities do so with the understanding that it is the member’s responsibility to ride and participate at their own level and ability based on skill and knowledge.  Any member who decides to participate in an activity will not hold Carolina Recreation Riding Group (“CRRG”), or other members responsible for adverse consequences.  All members ride at their own risk!

 

Only members of CRRG may participate in group activities.

 

Members using facilities and grounds made available to CRRG are using the facilities or property at their own risk and by using said facilities or property agree to hold harmless the property owners, CRRG and members for any injuries they or their animals may sustain. 

 

Safety and Welfare

 

Members should not participate in any event beyond their ability.

 

Suitable clothing should be worn at all times, all members will be issued with a t-shirt, no member will be permitted to ride in any activity in sleeveless tops or shorts, members are also required to wear suitable footwear with a heel when riding.  Approved helmets must be worn when jumping.  Members should ensure their tack and equipment is of a safe standard and correctly fitted before participating in any activity.

 

No lame or injured horses will be allowed to participate in activities unless a veterinary note is submitted.

 

All horses will have proof of negative coggins and be up to date on veterinary recommended vaccinations.

 

The safety and welfare of CRRG members, horses, spectators, the general public, facilities and facility owners, any persons or animals within the vicinity of a CRRG activity or event is a priority therefore, CRRG reserves the right to deny any member or horse to participate in any activity should CRRG foresee a safety issue.

 

Behavior

 

CRRG members will be respectful to others at all times and treat others as they would expect to be treated.  Members should display good citizenship, sportsmanship and horsemanship.  CRRG will not tolerate bad behavior, foul language or any behavior which would be harmful to people and animals.   A behavioral violation would encourage disciplinary action on behalf of CRRG.

 

As CRRG will be hiring the use of facilities to conduct its activities, respect care and diligence for people, animals and property at any facility should be adhered to at all times.

 

GRRG members are responsible for their animals, for safety reasons please ensure your animals are under control and well behaved.


Events/Activities

 

Pre-registration and payment required for every event.

Minimum number of participants required for each event depending on event. 

Events will be canceled 24hrs prior due to lack of participation.

Only once the minimum number of participant’s have registered, on the day registration will be allowed.

Additional charges apply depending on event

Event dues are non-refundable unless canceled by CRRG or a doctors or veterinary certificate is submitted. 

Registration closes 24hrs prior to event.

Event information will be communicated as soon as information is available.

 

Volunteers are required for each event, numbers depending on event.  Lack of volunteers will force a rota system to be administered.  No volunteers - No event!   As not every event will suit every member CRRG is expecting those not participating to sign up to volunteer.

 

Guests:  Members can have a guest.  Guest’s must pay $10 for daily membership as well as current event dues.
